Your 48 weeks start with an outlet and brand induction followed by the Mitchells & Butlers ‘Stepping Stones’ Retail Staff Training programme which covers all requirements to work successfully in our outlets. This programme covers a wide range from legal requirements to customer service and communication.
You will then move on to complete the Management Foundation Course (MFC) which is a combination of on and off the job training. This course is designed to show you a day in the life of a Licensed House Manager and to provide a safe environment for yourself, your team and your customers. Once you have completed this training you will be qualified to run your own shifts, as well as opening and closing the business.
Throughout your training, you will receive reviews with your Licensed House Manager and your Retail Business Manager where projects and tactical objectives will be set and reviewed to further your development.
The 48 weeks will not only take you through how to run and manage your outlet but give you real insights into Human Resources, Finance and Marketing.
By the end of your placement you will be trained in every aspect to
be a fully competent Team Leader and therefore ready to move into an
Assistant Manager role upon graduating from University without attending
another assessment. The scheme provides you with the opportunity to put the theory into practice and gain knowledge and contacts
useful for your final year.
